The Role You Will Play: PC&L Manager
  • Directs and coordinates the activities within the Materials Department
  • Responsible to ensure raw materials and components are available for production
  • Directs production scheduling and Shipping departments to ensure customer demands and expectations are met
  • Provide leadership, discipline, and support to ensure the highest level of safety, housekeeping (5S), and professionalism within the Materials department
  • Meet/exceed targets for Customer Performance Metrics
  • Directs and coordinates the procurement of raw materials, packaging, components, and requested purchased items
  • Directs all Production Control functions to ensure efficient, timely delivery of finished goods
  • Responsible for all Inventory and Warehouse management functions, including accuracy
  • Directs Freight and Logistics functions in accordance with corporate standards
  • Actively participates in the establishment of budgets and forecasts
  • Ensures timely, accurate, and detailed responses for corporate Monthly Material Reviews
  • Must support and coordinate Continuous Improvement activity in the plant
  • Initiates cost reductions analysis and executes actions to implement
  • Directly responsible to ensure operating systems for all Material Department functions are effectively understood and utilized (ie SAP)
  • Must ensure compliance to Launch Assessment activity and audits
  • Visit customers as needed to assure ongoing positive customer relations
  • Ensure compliance with all related TS-16949, MMOG and ISO-14001 policies and procedures
Background Profile: PC&L Manager
  • Tier 1 automotive experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Materials Management or related field
  • SAP experience (or similar ERP system) required
  • 5-10 years’ experience in materials management and production control in automotive environment
  • Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement
  • APICS certification is a plus
