THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY: Maintenance Technician
  • Assists in repairing and maintaining machinery, equipment, physical structures, and plumbing and electrical systems for the industrial establishment
  • Dismantles machines or equipment, replaces defective parts and motors, and adjusts mechanisms.
  • Cleans and maintains all machines and machine parts including shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
  • Bends and cuts conduit and wire, and drills holes in walls, floors, and ceilings for electrical connections.
  • Connects wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replaces switches and fuses, and splices wire and insulates wire with friction tape.
  • Bends, cuts, and threads pipe, cuts openings in walls, ceilings, and floors for pipes, and seals pipe joints with sealing compound.
  • Cuts out and joins parts for worktables, benches, shelves and other furnishings.
  • Maintains plumbing fixtures and systems.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the use of and able to safely operate machinery/tools including but not limited to: mill, lathe, band saw, drill press, chop saw, angle grinder, nibbler, power shears, and pneumatic tools. 
  • Performs activities as they relate to ISO 13485:2003.
BACKGROUND PROFILE: Maintenance Technician
  • Associates or Technical Degree
  • One year related experience or training
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Must be able to read blue prints and schematic drawings
  • Basic mathematic skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and forklift permit
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
