The Role You Will Play: Maintenance Technician Mechanical (MT)
Must be able to work under direction, develop skills and knowledge to repair and maintain product line equipment according to company quality and safety standards.

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals. RelationshipsThe maintenance technician reports to the Maintenance Area Supervisor/Lead and/or Maintenance Manager.Essential Responsibilities and Duties: The Maintenance Technician must have the ability to perform maintenance in the equipment assigned. Basic Computer skills are recommended. The candidate's knowledge, personality and drive must gain the respect of the other maintenance staff and the support of the other Technicians and Supervisor.Process & Equipment- Ensures all assigned equipment is continually maintained at the highest standards, resulting in proper functionality and minimum failures.- Performs the maintenance strictly, as per procedure, and according to the defined schedule defined by the Supervisor.- Efficiently troubleshoots and repairs assigned equipment.- Knowledge of: o welding o bearing removal and installation o gearbox troubleshooting and repair o bearingso sprocketso shafts o bushingso belt removal and installation o machining o plumbing o boilers o compressors o cooling towers o pumps o blueprint interpretation and creation o hydraulicso pneumatics- Records all maintenance and failure events immediately and accurately.- Understands and helps drive the World-Wide Service Quality Plan within the center.- Actively uses Quest Suggestions both for technical solutions and for knowledge sharing.
