$14 - $18 hourly, depending on experience

You will have to pass a welding test during the interview process, and provide your own welding mask, gloves, and steel toed boots. The test includes being given a blueprint and parts and ability to hard wire, dual shield, all positions using 1.5 inch steel plates. 

You will be fabricating large steel beams and tracks for automated forklifts and pickers. Your work will be hands-on welding/fitting of thick plate steel and other materials. You will be tasked with interpreting blueprints and work independently. You will also
  • Fabricate and assemble large beams using thick plate steel
  • Must follow safety guidelines and be willing to offer suggestions to improve safety of working conditions
  • Must be able to pass a timed standard print reading/fit/weld test
  • Read and understand drawings, schematics, designs, and blueprints.
  • Weld mild and stainless-steel assemblies using MIG, TIG, and Dual Shield welding techniques; operate other various fabrication equipment.
  • Able to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Willing to complete general tasks not directly related to the job description (clean-up, inventory, training, etc...)
  • Willingness to cross train into non-welding areas as the needs arise (i.e. layout, paint prep, assembly, etc...)
  • Actively work to improve productivity and quality
  • MUST be experience welding thick steel plates
  • MUST be able to interpret blueprints and work independently to produce finished products
  • High School Diploma; Trade and/or Technical School Training
  • 1-3 years’ experience in welding aluminum, carbon and stainless steel using MIG, TIG, and Dual Shield welding techniques (recent technical school graduate will be considered).
  • Familiarity with safety equipment including fall restraint/protection, respirator, confined space retrieval systems, etc...
  • Able to read engineering blueprints, drawings, and designs.
  • Able to interpret, fabricate and assemble assemblies in accordance with technical drawings and designs.
  • Able to operate various fabrication equipment including continuous feed welding machine, shear, brake, band saw, cut off saw, forklift, overhead crane, jib crane, grinder, sander, drill and other related fabrication equipment.
  • Requires basic computer navigation and math skills (proficient in fractions, decimals, conversions, and basic geometry)
  • Valid driver license required.
  • Ability to wear and care for applicable personal protective equipment (such as, safety glasses and shoes, respirator, hard hat and ear protection, safety harness) as required by site specific requirements
  • Must be in good health and able to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Working for prolonged periods of time at a work bench, table, and in awkward positions.
  • Working in confined space.
  • Adhere to company policies including policies related to drugs and alcohol
