WHAT THIS COMPANY OFFERS YOU:

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
Receives, stores, loads, unloads, and distributes materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties:
Ensures adequate stock of raw material in steel yard for present and future demands
Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
Loads and unloads materials using fork truck, cranes or by hand, onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves
Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area
Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination
Work closely with purchasing, inspectors and vendors to ensure all material is received as ordered on P.O.
This includes meeting thickness and flatness tolerances along with width/diameter and length dimensions plus type and grade of material
Mark heat and P.O. number with white ink marker on material where applicable
Make sure that information factory stamped on material doesn't conflict with that which is stated in material certification papers
Coordinate pick-up of scrap metal with vendor
Empty burn table trays and dump once per week or more often if necessary
Supply plate shop with material from steel yard and return all excess to either stock or scrap as good judgment dictates
Order pallets and V Blocks through purchasing as demand dictates
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Previous experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
