The Role You Will Play: Compensation and Benefits Manager
  • Evaluate and benchmark existing Benefits programs
  • Recommend new programs, or modify existing ones, to enhance the organization’s competitive position in the market
  • Manage the annual open enrollment process
  • Manage relationship with broker partners and third-party administrators
  • Help select and implement HRIS system to enable automated processes, ensure data accuracy and create simple workflows
  • Develop communication strategy to enhance employee understanding of the company's benefits package
  • Thorough understanding of ACA guidelines, coding and reporting requirements
  • Oversee COBRA process and provide support on disability, accident and other claims, 401(k) rollovers, distributions, loans, hardships and plan compliance testing
  • Provide leadership to answer employee questions about benefits plans, working with Health broker on billing issues, best service options, etc.
  • Create a compensation strategy and philosophy, then influence the organization to drive consistency in implementation
  • Manage functions related to the creation, update and completion of job descriptions, ensuring appropriateness of FLSA status
  • Involvement and oversight of FMLA processes
Background Profile: Compensation and Benefits Manager
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or other related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in an HR related position
  • 2+ years of experience in Compensation & Benefits Leadership positions
  • Thorough knowledge of benefits and employment regulations, compliance standards and initiatives under the EEOC, IRS, DOL, FLSA, HIPAA etc
  • Ability to travel as business needs require
