THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY: Maintenance Mechanic
  • Aid in the construction or maintenance of the facilities. 
  • Installs and maintains all wiring and control equipment throughout the facilities
  • Assists building maintenance for repairs/maintenance including: upkeep of walls, floors, ceiling components, doors and other fixtures within facility
  • Assists in painting and paint touch-ups throughout the building
  • Aids and assists in weekly inspection and periodic replacement of all dust filters in the air handling units that service the entire cleanroom
  • Periodically maintains and services of our dehumidifying units
  • Completes and maintains any required documentation, log books, etc. as required
  • Responds to repair requests in a timely manner and completing damage reports as observed during maintenance and daily activities
  • Makes timely recommendations for facilities upgrades, modifications, and repairs not within the scope of the above listed items or not within the scope of the individual’s capabilities
  • Performs all other maintenance functions associated with the JII facility as they become known
  • Monitors equipment to ensure proper operation and calibration
  • Works with personnel from other departments as necessary to ensure safety and quality in production
  • Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations
  • Maintains a safe work environment and functions in a safe manner

BACKGROUND PROFILE Maintenance Mechanic
  • High School education (HS Diploma or GED preferred);
  • Experience troubleshooting production and industrial equipment, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and HVAC
  • Experience working with 480 volts
  • Ability to read blue prints and machine schematics
  • Experience in food/pharmaceutical/nutraceutical processing operations, FDA regulated industry, or combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successful perform the job (preferred)
  • Able to read, write, and speak in English
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, rounding)
  • Organized and detail oriented, Effective problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, maintain a positive, professional, cooperative demeanor
