The Role You Will Play: Maintenance Technician
  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems
  • Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
  • Set up and operate lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine
  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise and locate origin of breakdowns and address factors which caused the equipment to fail
  • Install and repair transformers and wiring and electrical components of machinery and equipment
  • Install, program, and repair automated machinery such as robots or programmable controllers
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, and pressure regulators
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on machines and articulate issues with supervisors and provide routine reports
Background Profile: Maintenance Technician
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training in both electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Minimum 2-3 years fabrication experience
  • Experienced in industrial electricity, relay logic & ladder logic troubleshooting, PLCs, reading meters, variable frequency drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, automotive stackers, and diesel engines
  • Ability to pay special attention to work environment and surrounding areas
  • Independent worker and experienced problem solver
  • Interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format as well as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
