THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:  Property Manager
The PM will work with an Assistant Property Manager in a small office environment.  Property Manager will manage a mixed use project in Berkeley and some industrial assets located throughout the Bay Area (Oakland, San Leandro, Hayward to name a few places). 
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principals of property management including budgeting, reforecasting, variance reporting, CAM Reconciliations.  Understands overall underwriting strategies and ROI for portfolio.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to provide excellent customer service to tenants.
  • Able to multi-task in different facets of property management, including construction management and leasing.
  • Good leadership skills and ability to mentor and motivate Assistant Property Manager and other team members and support staff.
  • Ability to reason and solve problems with a variety of options in varying situations.
  • Works well with others, has a great teamwork attitude.
  • Work to build relationships with vendors and brokers.
  • Must be okay with driving to San Francisco occasionally for events and team meetings etc.
  • Degree preferred.
  • Real Estate license required.
  • 4+ years of real estate experience in Property Management required.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with MRI and Kardin preferred.
  • Must have strong financials and analytical skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills required
  • Ability to engage a team and lead them to success through daily operations
  • Provide support, guidance and training to a team
  • Must be proactive in initiating continuous improvement with operational procedures/processes
  • Must adapt to change, be flexible and empathic
  • Must be highly customer service oriented and responsive with a great need for closure
  • Demonstrated initiative – ability to think and work independently
  • Ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments to meet deadlines
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment where continuous improvement is expected
  • Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness
The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task with multiple people, good organizational skills and attention to detail.  Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required, Kardin, Argus and MRI a plus.  In addition, the successful candidate will have a minimum of five years in relevant work experience in managing commercial properties.  A four-year degree is advantageous.
