Overview of Role:
This position requires strong analytical abilities, accuracy, and attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, the ability to read and understand customer and engineering documentation, solid communication skills as well as able to work in a professional and ethical manner are also vital to the successful execution of this position.

DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH INSPECTING ELECTRONIC PRODUCTS OR DEVICES (preferably wiring harnesses & cable assemblies)
 
THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
  • Assumes responsibility for the efficient and accurate performance of assigned quality control test/inspection functions.
  • Tests and inspects products to established organizations standards, IPC 620,
  • J-Std-001, AS9100 and ISO9001.
  • Tests and inspects assigned products for conformance to customer specifications.
  • Documents test and inspection results.
  • Investigates, researches, and trouble-shoots testing and inspection discrepancies and unexpected results.
  • Monitors and reviews existing procedures and specifications and suggests changes or updates as needed. Coordinates with quality management to ensure that the correct procedures and specifications are in place.
  • Completes quality control functions safely and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with company personnel and with management.
  • Assists and supports production personnel as needed.
  • Coordinates closely with production and engineering to ensure product function and timely release. Conveys and obtains information as needed.
  • Keeps quality management informed of area activities and of any significant problems or concerns.
  • Attends and participates in meetings and committees as assigned.

HOW YOU QUALIFY:
  • Training/Education/Certification:
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Certification to IPC/WHMA-A-620 – Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies.
    • Certification to IPC-J-STD-001 – Solder requirements
  • Required Knowledge:
  • Through understanding of engineering and customer documentation.
  • Thorough understanding of quality elements of cable and harness products.
  • Knowledge of testing/inspection techniques and procedures.
  • 1-2 years experience is preferred
 
LOOKING FOR THE CANDIDATE WHO:
  • Ability to work well with other Departments.
  • Ability to Communicate with Suppliers and Vendors as applicable.
  • Demonstrate ability to apply comprehensive, in-depth understanding of industry regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several activities / projects at once, to organize / prioritize.
  • Experience with regulated Quality Management Systems including Corrective Action process, Internal Audits, Training, Non-conformity or complaint handling.
  • Excellent technical writing and effective communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and appreciation of deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills. Able to understand technical instructions, to read/comprehend technical information.
  • Able to work in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Proven track record of good attendance.
