Shifts Available: 6am-2:30pm; 2pm-10:30pm; 10pm-6:30am

Beginning in 1985, a small group of entrepreneurs got together to improve how semi trailers were designed and built, they led the technological break throughs that now support the largest fleets in North America.



  • Perform a variety of semi skilled and skilled manual duties requiring knowledge of techniques, tools, equipment and safety precautions.
  • To adhere to a general safety and work plan.
  • Required to perform welding procedures and assembly in compliance with WNTC welding procedures and engineering drawings.
  • To perform preventative maintenance of welding equipment, and report maintenance and repairs as needed on service equipment, fork trucks, or shop tool.
  • Perform work at quality level consistent with WNTC standard practice and complete work in a specified allotted time.
  • Must maintain high standard of housekeeping in the shop and yard.
  • Maintain compliance with safety requirements and OSHA regulations.
  • Must be able to complete and pass any training as required for job.
  • Must exhibit a professional demeanor with customers.


  • High school diploma, G.E.D. with certifications in welding or mechanic related work preferred.
  • Have both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have ability to read, listen to instruction and comprehend what is written or said.


  • Requires minimum of eight hours standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling with a full range of body mechanics/movements. 
  • Regularly required to lift and carry up to 35 (thirty-five) pounds. Frequently required to lift and carry up to fifty-five (55) pounds. Occasionally required to lift and carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds. 
  • Must be able to work in an environment requiring use of ladder, stairs, heights, platforms and climbing in and out of trailers or working under trailers in tight spaces. 
  • Must have ability to operate a variety of power and hand tools safely, work with compressed air safely, operate fork trucks safely and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE).


  • The work environment includes exposure to high decibels of noise, temperature, weather variations, metal welding processes and chemicals which may include solvents, undercoating, paint, and caulking.
  • Fast paced environment with moving equipment and motorized vehicles.
